Linas Linkevičius invites his EU colleagues not to forget what is happening in Ukraine

At the meeting of the European Union Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) in Luxembourg on 25 June, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Linas Linkevičius, informed his colleagues about his recent visit to Ukraine where he had met with top officials of Ukraine, with representatives of the opposition and members of the Tatar community.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania allocated EUR 50 thousand in humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The funds will be transferred to the United Nations (UN) migration agency, the International Organisation for Migration. This act is another contribution to the implementation of the Humanitarian Response Plan launched by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. The Plan aims at allocations which are expected to reach USD 187 million in 2018.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Linas Linkevičius, during his working visit to Kiev on 20 June, had a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. The Minister expressed unwavering support to Ukrainian independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity and condemned Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine.
