Bowling tournament "Glory to the Heroes!" opening
On November 18, the Lithuanian Community in Almaty Bowling Tournament, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty - "Glory to the Heroes!" has been started.
For the third year in a row organized event has already become a nice tradition and attracted great interest from the local Lithuanian and Ukrainian communities and diplomatic missions accredited in Almaty. This year, as many as 19 teams expressed their desire to try their hand at the bowling alley. The tournament is attended by teams from the Lithuanian and Ukrainian communities of Almaty, the Consulates General of the United States of America, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Turkey and the Republic of Lithuania, as well as a joint team from the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania and the representation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the EU Honorary Consuls in Almaty, the EU Business Association in Kazakhstan "Eurobak" and sponsor teams.
In his opening speech, Consul General G. Kerusauskas pointed out that in this hard time for Ukraine, it is very important to help its citizens who have suffered from Russian aggression, therefore all funds raised for participation in the tournament will be transferred to the Kremenchuk City Society of People with disabilities.
The event was supported and prizes were established by the Honorary Consuls of Lithuania in Kazakhstan, Lithuanian, Kazakh and Ukrainian business enterprises: “Libella Bottlers Almaty”, “Urbon Design”, “Stada”, “Arai Plaza”, “Meloman Group”, “Clinic Dr. Vovk”, “Tem Tour”, “Domus А”, “Golden Sunrise”, “Paulaner”, “Roshen”, “Bosca” and the Lithuanian community bowling team.
The remaining two rounds will be held on November 25 and December 2, 2024, after which the 5 best performing teams and 5 players in each of the men's and women's groups will be awarded.
