Business delegation from the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts visited Almaty
On May 22-24 a delegation of businessmen from the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (ALCCIC), led by the President of ALCCIC Sigitas Gailiūnas, visited Almaty. Visit programe was organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty.
During the visit, the delegation of businessmen accompanied by the Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty Gvidas Kerušauskas visited the Almaty branch of Atameken, where they met with the chairman of Almaty Atameken Aiez Taibetov and his deputy Akerkin Jeraliyeva, discussed the possibilities of cooperation and presented the activities of their companies and interests in Kazakhstan. In course of the visit the delegation also met with Lithuanian businessmen working in Kazakhstan - Arūnas Lazdauskas and Valdas Paškevičius, who shared their experience about the business climate and opportunities in Kazakhstan.
On May 23 at the General Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty, the Lithuanian delegation participated in B2B meetings with business representatives of the city of Almaty and the Almaty region (about 40 companies participated). Kuandyk Shunkunov, chairman of "Atameken" of the Almaty region, also participated in the business contacts event. Later a reception was held at the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty, where Lithuanian businessmen had the opportunity to communicate with diplomats and Kazakh business representatives.
