Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania was opened in Osh
On March 12, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania was officially opened in the city of Osh. On this occasion, the Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty, Šarūnė Kubiliūtė, together with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Osh, M. A. Orumbayev, met with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh Region, Amankan Kenzhebayev. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Lithuania, and discussed opportunities for the development of interregional cooperation.
In his remarks, Amankan Kenzhebayev noted that the opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Osh would contribute to the further strengthening of friendly and partnership relations between the two countries. He also congratulated M. A. Orumbayev on his appointment as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Osh and wished him success in carrying out this responsible mission.
During the meeting, the economic and investment opportunities of the Osh region were presented. Particular attention was paid to the potential of the agricultural sector, the production and processing of environmentally friendly agricultural products, as well as the development of the tourism sector.
The parties expressed their interest in intensifying cooperation in the areas of expanding trade and economic relations, attracting investment, developing agricultural processing, tourism, education, and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Lithuania.
