Opening of the Honorary consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty region
On the evening of November 15, 2023, the official opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in the Almaty region took place in the NURLY TAU business center in Almaty. The symbolic ribbon was cut by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Kazakhstan - Egidijus Navikas, Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty - Bakytzhan Bulegenov, Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty - Gvidas Kerusauskas, Chairman of the Community of Honorary Consuls of Kazakhstan - Denis Van den Weghe and the new Honorary Consul of Lithuania - Mr. Alexander Deriglazov.
During the festive reception, G. Kerusauskas appresiated the honorary consul and the team for their many years of support for the events organized by the consulate, wished the holding company they led to continue to maintain close economic ties with Lithuanian enterprises and actively represent Lithuania in the development of ties in economic, cultural, investment and other areas.
In the Almaty region, the honorary consul of the Republic of Lithuania, Alexander Deriglazov, is a well-known and active businessman with extensive experience in retail trade. Among other successful businesses, Alexander is the founder of the largest distributor of audio and video products in the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Meloman network of stores.
