Support event for Ukraine at the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty
On February 24, the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty commemorated the third anniversary of Ukraine's resistance to Russian aggression. During the event, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Ukrainian community and local public figures who care about Ukraine had the opportunity to support the Regional Children's Social and Psychological Rehabilitation Center in Ivano-Frankivsk.
In his speech, Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania Gvidas Kerusauskas drew attention to the fact that now we must unite even more and support Ukraine's struggle for its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Only through the joint efforts of the world that believes in freedom can we stop Russia's aggression in Ukraine and prevent its attempts to encroach on other sovereign countries in the future.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Kazakhstan noted that the inaction of good people is enough for evil to spread. To ensure sustainable peace, the unity of Europeans and active actions are more important today than ever.
During the event, video recordings of speeches by EU and other ambassadors in Kazakhstan in support of Ukraine were shown, as well as footage of events in support of Ukraine in Lithuania.
